Warning! Proud Grandmother Ahead!

Jake in congressman's officeJake has another ball to juggle these days--junior lobbyist.  As the national "face of psoriasis," Jake is helping to launch a legislative campaign entitled "A Fair Shake For Psoriasis" to increase public awareness of the disease, increase funding for research and get more drugs approved for treatment.  This morning he visited the Amarillo office of Congressman Mac Thornberry, (who is tied up in session in Washington D.C.), met with his staff, and gave them the information they need to assist in the cause.  He invited Rep. Thornberry to co-sponsor the legislation and posed for this photo op with the congressman's constituency liaison person.   The National Psoriasis Foundation is launching a new web site for kids which will be featured in the next issue of their magazine, with Jake as the cover story.  Liza is on the  planning committee for the National Psoriasis group and is busy preparing for the June, 2011 conference slated for Washington D.C.   Liza and Jake are scheduled to address the congressional committee considering the new bill at that time.  We are very proud of Jake.  Through his attitude and example he has turned a problem into a real blessing for himself and many others.
