Aubrey celebrated a significant birthday on Monday of this past week. She turned twelve and is now an official Young Woman! Having worked with the Beehives for more than two years, I was able to give her the following advice for fitting in; she needs to learn the lyrics to all of Taylor Swift's songs, fall madly in love with Justin Bieber and become addicted to "Glee."
To mark the big day, the Reeds (and Aubrey's best friend, Katie) spent a magical two days at "The Happiest Place on Earth." Here are a few snaps of the occasion:
As if that cake needed any frosting, Aubrey participated in a horse show yesterday and won first place overall for Western and second place overall for English. Here are her complete states (quoting Carl, because it's all Greek to me):
"Aubrey was in 8 events and got 3 firsts, one second, two thirds and two fifths. In addition she won high point in western events and reserve high point in English events." In addition to fancy ribbons, she also won prizes; a feed bucket, a hook for hanging tack and ear clippers. For the horse, not her. Here are a few snaps of Aubrey and Ziggy in action:

Since I am the designated disseminator of family news, a congrats also goes to young Ezra who just this week grew his first two teeth AND learned to sit up by himself. (Look carefully to spot the tiny new teeth:

Congrats Aubrey and Ezra! I can't believe how grown up aubrey is now: she is so sweet, smart, talented and pretty! And Ezra couldn't be any cuter. Love the new teeth!

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Aubrey. What a beautiful 12 year old. I love the horse pictures, I especially love her English riding outfit. Very posh. I wish Aubrey could visit our Ward. We have a 12 year old who is six feet tall and wears size 14 shoes. Another very cute (and tall) girl.
