So I e-mailed Bill in D.C. to tell him to check out my blog so that he could preview my new "do." After 36 years, I can tell when he is less than enthusiastic. The best he could muster was, "That's not a very good picture of you." I think I addressed that in my side note. I realize that it looks like a fun house picture, but it's hard to photograph yourself. So I've been practicing this morning and I think I've improved. Plus, now you can see how my hair looks when it isn't blown out and straightened. My inner hippy loves it!
That's a much better picture of you. I didn't want to say anything but that last picture was a little scary. I think it was a combination of bad lighting and a weird angle. I think the hair is cute. The librarian at story time today was a "hip-grandma" type and she had a very similar do.
ReplyDeleteI love this look! Better pic than the last. I like the way you styled it in this pic its very natural and pretty. I dont think it looks hippie, but I know what you mean by inner hippie. I have a little of that too, hence the long hair often worn in braids. I struggle finding a "style". After so many years of pixie cuts I think I am protesting with long hair!
ReplyDeleteI like your new hairdo. I bet it will be easy for you, which is important.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of cutting my hair ultra short and buying a couple of wigs for when I leave the house. Kind of like a cancer survivor!
I might look lovely in some of those cute bandana hairwraps. Anything but my current do!
Very cute...and sounds easy (most important)! I am glad that you have such a good hairstylist now. Dad will like it when he gets home and sees it in person.
ReplyDeleteVery cute...I like that it doesn't look like you just had a perm, it just looks like you have some natural curl.
ReplyDeleteI am like Laura in that I feel like just cutting all mine off...more like a buzz, and wearing wigs.
Alas, according to my genetic make-up, my mother and all my grandmothers before me tend to have very thin hair and I find mine is falling out every time I brush it. Very disturbing...
It's really cute. I agree with Rhonda it doesn't look like you just permed it. Very natural looking.
ReplyDeleteI love the natural look as well. But... let's NOT forget about all your different styles of glasses. That could be a post all it's own!

ReplyDeleteI am Allie's mother in law and I love your blog. I was listening to Conference today and thought of you when Brother Oaks gave his talk, especially about texting during sacrament meeting.
OK, I have to say that I check your blog at least every other day to partake in your witty posts, and I just now got the "hair addendum-weave" thing. Very clever, it took me a while to get it, maybe I need to see Clare's hairdresser to put some more smart in my 'do'.
