I still think I'm scarred from having to wear that dress to school for picture day. My classmates didn't understand the "prairie" aesthetic and they said that the bow looked like a propeller on top of my head.
It was worth the pain and humiliation at the time because it's provided such fun memories for the present! I'm still laughing out loud at the comments!
I love my life! I finally have time to get involved with all the hobbies, interests, travel and projects that I didn't have time for when I was busy doing the things that I now occasionally miss doing. My traveling buddy and best friend is my eternal companion, Bill. We are joined on the road by our faithful sidekicks, Oso and Newton. I read, I write, I sew, and I infiltrate the lives of my children and grandchildren. I observe and comment on the humor and irony in daily life.

2. I see you put some curling efort into Em and Clare's hair... not so much mine.
3. to quote our favorite movie, "hair can't just lie there like a dead thing on your cheeks."
Those who wanted their hair curled (and would sit still) got their hair curled!
